I think about the problem broadly (I'm more interested in cultures outside of school actually, but I work with a bunch of people building good schools so I think a lot about that, too). I'll look at the links you sent. If the trick is insecurity, then, yes, scaling that might not be great. There are a lot of cases where people grow excellent without abuse or insecurity (in the bad sense of that word), and I think we should aim at scaling those types of cultures, where people feel flourishing. But I'm not going to dictate that: different people have different goals and needs, so we need diversity.
